Yeah, that would be quite a hike. I keep forgetting that I was planning on riding down to meet y'all, and then riding up to meet Ed, and then ride with him a bit if he'd be cool with it. That'd put me riding at anywhere between 6-9 hours of riding for the day. Since I haven't ridden for about a year, that might be enough for one day. :)
And seeing as my bike isn't back together yet, I really have to get a move on!

My bike is very close to being ready for a road test. In the last three days i have gotten a lot of stuff cleaned, painted, sealed, installed, adjusted and working.

Only the tank petcock and gas cap to install and wire up a charger for my phone (my speedometer) and she'll be ready for a maiden voyage.

Kawickrice, i dont know about you but i am a fair weather rider. Forecast is calling for storms on Saturday. .

Test drove my bike yesterday. Blew a cam plug out a few miles out. Trailered home. Still trying to get those blasted plugs to stay put, so no ride for me.

I just talked to Kawickrice. He is in Wildwood Florida. He is meeting up with KZ900JOE. Along with Kawickrice's support vehicle piloted by his extremely understanding wife, they should be headed North right now. A few rain drops earlier but it looks good for the rest of the ride to Macon Georgia. They plan to get the flag to jydog then stay the night in Macon and head back to Florida tomorrow.

Hats off to all these folks. This is a large undertaking as we all know travel these days is an expensive venture, not to mention the investment of time.

does it count if u sit on your bike, on the back of a trailer, while waiving the flag?
I can see it now. 1 of us will have a break down, and the flag will be trailered to the next state.

The relay is moving up the east coast. It's currently in North Carolina and will be in Maryland by Sunday.

My hope is to have it up in New England within a few weeks.

If you still want to be included, now's the time to speak up. We want to include as many people as possible.

Send me a PM and I'll put you in direct contact with riders in your area.
