CA to Texas shipping

Hi guys,

I'm driving to Texas over Thanksgiving break [in a van getting 14 highway mpg :pinch: ] to pick up a bike. On the way to Texas, I won't have any cargo, I was wondering if any of you had anything you need picked up or shipped between Texas and California (and anyplace in between)? I'm looking for any means possible to offset the $700+ I'll be spending for gas.

My three stops in Texas are: Corpus Christi, NW Houston, and potentially Cuero.

Too bad I'll be out of town visiting family that weekend. I'm close enough to NW Houston that I wouldn't mind riding over to help you load up. Couldn't hurt to put a face with a name.

Buy as much gas as you can while you are here, it should save you a little money. I saw $3.09/gal on the way into work this morning.

Haha thanks Testa. I'm picking up the bike in Corpus, then a day or two layover possible in Cuero (or a truckstop outside of Houston), then I'm meeting my uncle in NW Houston on Sunday or Monday then hauling tail back to CA in one sitting.

Yeah, I don't mind TX gas prices one bit!

Just in case anyone was interested, my trip was pushed back a week. I'll be leaving CA on Friday December 2nd, and leaving Houston on Tuesday December 6th returning back to Cali on the 7th.

Have an empty vehicle on the trip from CA to TX still.
