I rode one in 2006 along with a Mean Streak. I ended up buying the Streak. It had plenty of motor and more cornering clearance.

I'm keeping the sport bike. So I'm thinking about something more comfortable for long trips with the full touring pack. Whatever I end up with will have to be EFI because of trips to New Mexico with altitudes ranging from Roswell to Ruidoso to Cloudcroft then down to White Sands...

Because of my stage of life, this will probably the only cruiser/tourer I ever get, so I'm hoping I'll choose a good one.

Thanks for the response, Bill. You got any idea of how these hold up (the 2000, that is)?

I tried googling the 2000, but couldn't come up with alot of info. That's why I've brought it here, to the most knowledgeable bike site I know.

Thanks for y'all's indulgence. :)

I would be deaf, dumb and blind on this one. But here is the Vulcan forum, did you find this?
www.vulcanforums.com/forums/
Reading through here would be a good Idea, it will show you some of the problem, accessories, tools, etc. For your potentially new to you bike. Besides getting info from the guy's here I searched the Connie forums for the owners info on the Bike I just bought.

Thanks.

I glanced at it earlier, but it didn't seem to have a lot specifically about the 2000. I will take a closer and longer look there. I read one of the magazine reviews about it when it first came out. Sounded pretty good. I'm 6'2" at 240 lbs and that's why I'm considering something that size.

"You got any idea of how these hold up (the 2000, that is)?"

My info is old but back then the 2000's (aficionados call them "Rogues")were really hard on rear tires.
