I just threw the Omaha part in to see if you were paying attention.

Naw, Just kidding. I am suppose to go there the first of next month to visit my Daughter. They moved there last month.

Thank you very much for the offer.

Got the bike started, then took off the carbs and cleaned them. I don't now if I want to keep this bike. I don't know if it is worth the trouble I am having to go through to get it.

I think it has a 1196 cc engine. Roy

This bike has been amusing to say the least. After I got the carbs cleaned and the engine fired I had a hard time getting it in gear. I finally got it on the road and only had one gear.

I had other things to do so it sat until a few days ago when some friends came by and helped get the monster on my lift.

The shift linkage was on so it shifted backwards. After getting the shifter installed right and the slack out,the bike had all five gears.

Then I started sorting out the low voltage. The alternator was good and all I had to do was clean the connectors to make every thing right.

Then started on a oil leak. It was hard to see where the oil was comming from and had to pull the oil pan. To do this I had to pull fairing pieces, exhaust, radiator, and crash bars.

When I pulled the oil pan two bolts fell out and there was no oil pan gasket. Someone was really good with silicone.

The guy I got the bike from told me to bring it back.

It seems someone just threw the bike together good enough to get rid of it. Roy

So you decided not to keep it? Stripped pan bolt holes, no gasket, backwards shift linkage...makes me wonder if he fixed whatever he took the pan off for correctly.

Good point.

Nice bike Roy. I wonder if the ol lady would like riding on that. Kind of uncomfortable on my Z, and my ZX6R was even worse. Plus, I'm not much of a 2-up guy on a "sporty" bike.
