help me ID my bikes was created by ragnarok
Alright i picked up some title less KZ650s the other night and i was curious if some of you guys could help me ID them
that maroon one has an oil cooler and a kick start and is styled more like a cruiser.
That orange one has front and rear disc bakes and no kick start and to me has a more stylish cafe racer looks.
I can look at the numbers in a few days when i am down where the bikes are being stored, i just figured someone might know off the top of their head and enjoy seeing such nice titless bikes.

The orange one is a 650C and based on the fact it has drilled discs I'd say it is a 1979 650 C-3. The tank looks to be from a 78 650B2. the tail piece looks as if it is off a 79 650 B3. The maroon bike has been painted and has a 650 LTD seat which was available from the Kawasaki accessory catalog. It is a B model but I can't see it well enough in the pics to tell you what year it is. It is most likely a 78 or a 79. Look at the steering neck and see if it has the white sticker with the date of manufacture on it.
Both bikes look to be in pretty decent shape what are your plans for them?

thank you for your response gringo,
I traded a 52 inch plasma tv for 3 bikes, one of them was a half @ssed bobber and these two had no title but look amazing. the guy wanted 1000.00 for the bikes but the tv was worth 350 tops, I drove to him during hurricane Irene (even floated the rental van and one bike fell over haha
My plans are to take the best of all of the bikes and make one monster cafe racer. I am not sure exactly what i plan to do due to me having a smooth cb750 in my garage that just needs gone over.
My dream is to build a "midnight rider" of sorts for the hose back horse chopper crosss country race. "the stampede" I wanted to do a 810CC kit but its looking like i would have to find 750 heads.. so who knows..
So back to the first plan!
I want to build a cafe bike that could/can run with modern street bikes, At first i want to use the stock fork setup but i have a kaw ZXR1200 swinger i would love to jam on there along with some USDs in time, I want to tear off everything i do not need.. You know the kind of bike you only ride on twisties and a hot minuet blast down the road.
I probably will be poking around here quite a bit, I started in street fighters, had a 900rr that was stupid fast but that got old, I am 29 and i do not want to be lumped in the street biker stereotype.
I love 70s and 80s jap bikes, they have soul and they speak to me.
Hope you guys enjoyed my wall of text!

If that statement means there is no place for a kick start, and not that it is simply missing, then I'd be curious as to how it can be a 79 motor?
Far as I know, any 650 motor without a kick start is 81 or newer
