stolen z1r body set! watch ebay!

Well long story short, my garage was robbed sometime this summer in brookings, SD. I was not around as I live back home in the summer and there during college. When I filed the police report I only thought all of my tools were stolen which consisted of 3000+ worth of snap-on, blue point, and craftsman tools, specialty tools, and power tools. It left me devastated. Upon closer inspection I realized I am missing the 1980 z1r body set that I was doing the body work on for a good buddy of mine!!!!! The bike needs a full resto but without a body set it is pretty much worthless. Parts like these will be much harder to resell as chances are the robber may not even realize their value. The tail, one oem and one aftermarket side cover, and the tank were all stolen, if anybody sees these z1r parts come up for sale in or near South Dakota I would love a heads up. It just baffles me that somebody would stoop this low, its a devastating loss and if they are not found this z1r will probably never be more than it is now. If anybody sees anything or has any leads I would greatly appreciate any help. I'm just a broke college student tryin to keep these old kaws on the road and now I'm one down and have no money to replace my tool collection that I've been putting together with the help of family and friends for years.

Jordon I have a fairing that needs to be painted a tank with a dent right on the crease off a 78 and a front fender I believe is from a 79 I did give the tank away but never heard back from the guy you can have it all for the shipping. if I had the tail piece and side covers you'd be welcome to those to.

if its anything like i remember somebody was probably really hard up for some booze and unloaded your stuff for very little! freaking arse holes

This forum never ceases to amaze me! There is always somebody willing to help, in the years I have been a member of this forum I have been nothing but amazed by the generosity of its members. Thank you eddiem for the offer I sent u a p.m. And wireman for the most part I live in a family oriented neighborhood with very few students but I do live by the king koin laundramat behind the bowling alley and it seems to attract shady folks.
