So there he was by the fireworks stand, or "it". Shiny and new and seemingly too large, looked like a busa from the road.

I pull in. Asked him what it was and he says ninja zx600r. Avery new and nice looking machine, all black. He's game so we hit the interstate. My bike is running funny all the sudden. I'm running out the 4.00 gas I put in. But I don't know that yet. put that gas in to take it out and find some good timing, once and for all. I advanced the heck out of it first. Good pull and good mph, tapers off around 8000. I backed it way down.

Now she shes tame and smooth and all that, but when she takes off around 7 she pulls to 95plus and the mph are sailing by much faster. So I was right, ok this is it. This is what I came to find out.

My bike is sounding weird and I'm not paying any mind since I recently sprung an exhaust leak up front, or so I'm thinking it did. That extra ticking noise ya know. I wound it up to eighty and he stepped up waiting patiently. I nodded and rolled on throttle. Kinda fell on itself for sec or and he jumped ahead 3 bike lengths. Then she came on then but hey, I'm bout 88 and passing the powerband in sec. Come time to shift and I didn't get the clutch released enough and she just stayed in 3rd, revved higher. Ok, ok fourth, ... fifth,... to 130 or so. He never moved away one bit. We pulled over and he said, "Man I though I was going to pass you like nothing, then I looked back and you were right there. I said did you have it wound tight? (god knows I did) :woohoo: He says oh yeah. He left, and mine quit by the way, near the end of the race. I had to lift the tank up to fill the carbs, then buy some gas from a resisdent. So yeah, I was running out and it took the zip I needed away from the motor and that's the only reason he got ahead at all. I JUST got done watching the way it sailed past eighty in second with that timing set up, I was impressed with that. AND...

That ain't bad considering the dinky little piece of crap 28mm carbs. Stock coils.

It was a good day.

I need some keihins, I'm thinking that would make this engine sing like I couldn't believe possible.

I'm startin to think I'm picking on the little guys, and I'm feeling the shame.

Bs 34's might not get me in the big leaques but a girl 110lbs and some keihins and lighter wheels. I'd be an instant betting man I just know it. And that's against a zx1000. That bike wouldn't have nothing on mine.

I'm gettin to point where I can just drive up and the newer bikes just fall over and start sputtering. One intimidating kz all done wrong.

knock knock? whos there? It not fuel injection. Is it four valve heads? Nope.

Then who the .... is it?

Just little ol me on my shitty kz! Going wee weee weee :P

This all started out as a joke. It's gone beyond the yawn stage.

Yesterday was hot 96deg or more. Bike didn't have the zip, but tonight now it started getting cool to the skin, she takes off like a rocket like fuel injection around the redline, and redline is very broad with the timing backed down.

I'd like to see what the keihins would do with that crisp air, my Gosh would it go, turning out hp like it was unlimited I imagine.

With 15/35 gearing, shift your bike down to sec. gear at 80mph, let the clutch out and match the engagement with throttle opening, then watch the speedo sail past 80 as the motor is pulling with gusto. You on your way Bravo!

Wham, wham, wham.

That's what I'm talking about. :woohoo:

That picture of you on your bike, looks like you can't decide wether to kick start it with your foot this time or use your hand? :woohoo: Bet with those square tires it pisses you off your girlfriend can catch you on foot.

And when she does, slaps you alongside the head from behind, causing those ape hangers get to shaking so bad it's a sure trip to the far wall of the toy box :pinch:

GO JOHNNY GO! :cheer:
