Roaming the countryside, buying up old bikes, and squirreling them away for safe keeping and eventual restoration. A dream for most of us, though very few have the time, money, and space to actually do it. That's why I play the Lott-o. :)

Nope, these bikes are collected by the owner himself, been collecting bikes for decades. He hinted to me once that he had a "small barn" with a bunch of early British stuff that someone broke into and stole some small stuff out of a few years back.

Everything he has is for sale but it may cost you dear for some of the really rare stuff, others not so much but he is also a source for parts too. I have a friend in Australia that needs a gage set for a bike that he is going to "look" for, not sure if that means he actually might have one or has a line on one maybe from another collector.

This is not some obscure guy either, he is in the business, he's just quiet about the old stuff, probably like the rest of us, wants to keep them all but....

So, how would one contact this fellow and where are these bikes squirrelled away?

That baby blue Suzuki 90 (I bet it's an RV 90)...is that worth much? I have a 75 RV 125 that looks new and runs almost like it. Big fat tires, air pump like that 90, gas tank under the seat, luggage rack, all original. I never thought it was worth a ton, just a part of my childhood that I never wanted to part with. Actually got it for $300 back in 94. That was like years worth of allowance right there.

KZ_Rage wrote: I know it's a Suzuki but the Big E was in pretty decent shape and he wanted $3600, might be negotiable somewhat but if you were looking to buy a bunch of bikes he says he will make it worth your while! If you wait until the late fall then the deals get better of course!

Oddly this place is sort of out in the middle of nowhere and aren't open on the weekends (Seventh Day Adventists), pretty decent folks from my dealings with them, one of the few who will work on old stuff.

had one of those years ago, cornered like a blind folded pig on stilts! :woohoo:

...and may I asked what you were doing on a blind folded pig on stilts??? I don't think I want to know! :pinch:

I ride with a lot of Suzi riders from the GSR site each year and though they are a great bunch of guys I just can't get into the feel of a Suzi, never could, not even back in the dirt years.
