what is the best year Kawasaki police bike?

I guess i was thinking KZ1000J -P.....later from 81-2005?...but as i type the word "best" i can hear the debate start branching off to Z-1 E- Z-1 later,,,KZ,9,,,,,KZ1000 ,,,,,MKII....


but the original question i have is that i was wondering since the J-Model ran from 80?---200? an I'm sure there must have been small/large upgrades in those years.....which if any were the best years....


they are all over on craigslist in the bigger Ca cities....and i think one day there will be only a few....

i realize that our segment of buyers and owners leaves many older than those bikes and when folks pass i'm sure clean examples of Cop bikes will always be turning up for years to come...and Z's too for that matter....i wont need six - twenty KZ's once my tickets punched thats for sure...:whistle:

Ha ha.... 1980.. The general consensus is that 1981 and later had a weaker Clutch Basket, and tend to be harder on starter clutches.
