Whats the longest road trip you have taken?

Not on a Z, but since we're talking, left Albuquerque on an '82 xs400, headed up through Colorado, Idaho, Montana,Wyoming, Washington, then down the coast to Santa Barbara, and across Arizona back to Albuquerque. Not sure how many miles, but a solid 6 weeks on the bike with a tent and a backpack. That was a great time. You don't have to have a big bike to log in some miles.

I rode my KZ650 from California to New York and back in 1981. In 1983 I rode the same bike from California to Virginia Beach. In 1989 I rode the same bike from Virginia Beach back to California. In 1997 I rode a Suzuki SP600 dual sport from California to to South America and back. Loved all of them and would them again in a minute.

it was not on a KZ but my 06 sportster
did east coast to west coast last year
took northern route then southern route
if i did it again it would northern route again lots to see
Bearstooth Pass was great this was in june 70* at bottom of Mt at the top it was 32*
and snow all over the place.
this trip was on my buckit list now it is checked off
alot to see in the USA

Some like long trips some don't, boring interstates are my favorite roads so building up from the KZ days to the 1500 miles in 24hrs last May on the Goldwing, my next trip is one month away. The BBG3000, which is 3000+ miles in 48hrs. 75 guys have officially done this by Iron Butt certified rules, I'm hoping to be #76 on a 2008 Goldwing. Sorry not KZ related, still love the KZs, but my life is long distance road miles and the goldwing covers the road like no other.

Way to ride. I may ride my 750 from NC to CA in the fall. I'll probably have to blow a chiropractor afterwards, but I cant take my car, so what else is there?
