5 long cold months for my GPz1100 being in storage. Back in the fall, I stored the bike with a full tank of fuel, and added some Startron fuel conditioner, and some drygas. I yanked the battery, and ocassionally kept a trickle charge throughout the winter. This past saturday was 55F and sunny, so I decided to get the bike running. Wasn't sure what to expect, as my DFI GPz can get very finicky if the DFI system isn't functioning perfect. DFI systems also do NOT like to be cranked for extended periods without engine fire or the engine can quickly flood. To my amazement, they engine coughed to life pretty quickly. It definately had a bit of a rough idle, and I did experience a slight hesitation for a few miles, but after about 20 miles the engine was running perfect ! Yea baby it's riding season again !!!!!!!! :woohoo:

We got in the low 80s a couple days last week, another cold front today with rain though. Riding every chance I get.

Be careful out there, I had the bike out on the weekend and back and forth so about 50 miles without trouble and then very nearly lost it on the way home yesterday. I knew there was gravel on the corner so I was upright and going slowly but my back end still slid out. I was fortunate not to lowside or highside when I caught it, I was sure I was going to put her down. Anyway went out again last night with no troubles

Sandy corners is an understood hazard here in New England this time of year ! The idea is to stay in the middle of the corner apexes as much as possible and keep the corner speeds SLOW ! What a suck deal it would be to low side your bike on your first ride from sand ! Be carefull until more rains have a chance to wash away most of the sand !
