Spoke wheels? Fitting? was created by gnstalodz
I have a 81 ltd 440
I am planning on putting on spoke rims, nothing too fancy, just used and old will do. But I don't know what ones match my bike?? It is belt driven and I have no answers from anywhere I looked.
Thanks guys,
and welcome me to the forum!

I am going to go out on a limb and say that spoke wheels from a KZ650 CSR may fit. From your photograph, it looks like the belt drive may use the same rubber cush drive and hub that a chain drive uses. What I am really offering, is to take numerous measurements on mine in order to help you determine if they will interchange. Let me know what measurements to take, such as front axle diameter; spacing between the front forks; front brake disc diameter; distance between the rear swingarm sides; etc. Also, what size wheels are on your motorcycle presently? Your rear tire appears to be narrower than mine. How much clearance is there from the inside edge if the belt - to the sidewall of the tire.
(Incidentally, I have a set if you need to purchase some). The ones from my 1982 KZ650 CSR are Front: 19" x 1.85" wide; and Rear: 16" x 3.00" wide. Send me a PM if you want.
