Stopped when I seen this at a used car lot.
It was a while back and on a sunday.

Wondering what it is worth?

I didn't kick it over so siezed or not I do not know.
Oil ran down the pipes at one time.
No damage visible exept the ugly chrome thing behind the seat.
Rusty chain and rotted tires.
8500 miles.

Agreed, although I have heard certain parts are getting scarce, or maybe that was only on the H2? Something about tranny parts...but the doc could always fix you up :P

I have heard, although I have no personal experience, that the crankshaft bearings have a fairly short life expectancy...on the order of 20000 miles or so before they need replacement...and if not replaced, results in seizure.

Pretty cool bike. I had one, still believe it was the quickest ride I ever experienced. I dialed up the oil pump and hotted up the plugs to keep them from fouling. I remember holding it at 5K till the hole opened in traffic and then blasting through, at something near light speed, leaving the road totally obscured in oil smoke.

I never worried about the handling, just wasn't an issue for me. I got rid of it in 1976 in favor of my KZ900 because the damn thing couldn't run a hundred miles without sounding like it had loose parts in the combustion chambers. Just too much power for the available cooling capacity.
