ZL1 was actually a limited production car motor in 1969,came in a handfull of special ordered(copo) camaros and corvettes.
basically an updated version of the L-88 aluminum headed 427,but with an aluminum block made by a co called reynolds.
the origional ZL-1s didnt have sleeves,the piston skirts were plated to run on the aluminum bores.
those were the same aluminum heads used on the early LS-7 454 crate motors
chevy sells a new version of the same block with sleeves.

I'd rather run that picklefork than the motorcycle any day. There's not many things that a big block hydroplane is safer than, but that bike is one exception.

Ohhhh Plummen, you're making me want to hit the races in Marble Falls this summer. It's cool to sit up on the bridge when the fast boats pass under you. Really gives you the full effect of those open pipes.
