All: Thanks for not kicking me to the curb. I still love my old KZ, and have no plans of selling it. Trianglelaguna - When we rode to California, several people would comment positively on my KZ, and ignore the newer bikes. Drove the others in our group crazy. I have already experimented with suspension settings. It is cool being able to modify from a living room sofa to a "teeth jarring" firmness and everything in between.
halOtwO - I really like the candy red color as well.
steell & Becker - You are so right about the muffler.
Double Dub - I liked the Ninja 1000 best of all, but there are only new 2011 models, so the price is beyond my budget.
Old Man Rock - The spark plugs are on the very top of the combustion chamber between the intake and exhaust valves. I guess this makes it a Hemi?
KZCSi - Yeah, the Jan. 2011 Motorcyclist magazine heavily preferred the Z1000. I did a small wheely on one during a demo ride, so it has the torque. But the FZ1 can do a power wheely in the first 3 gears, so any more torque would be hard to use, and might just get me in trouble.
Thanks for the comments everybody.
