I'm getting ready to make an order from Bucanan spoke, for my 650/750 project. Bodywork on the bike will be Black with Green/White ELR type stripes, was thinking black anodised rims would look sweet.

I've narrowed it down to 18" rims in a 3.50 front and a 4.25 rear. I really wanted to go with a black andised rim but the Excels only come in natural finish, the Sun rims are available in black but DAMN they are $100 more for the set over the Excels....I'm having a hard time deciding, although the money saved with the Excels would buy 1 set of spokes.

Could ya live with natural finished rims and save yourself a $100....Not sure if I can, help a brother out

Yep,I'm considering having a rear wheel built as well and it seems to be an expensive project, but if was just $100 more for the candy I like I think I'd have to go there.

you should be able to get the rims powdercoated for 20 or 30 bucks a wheel.
black would look the best i think.

I do believe you answered your own question right here...

"Could ya live with natural finished rims and save yourself a $100....Not sure if I can, help a brother out"

My opinion, that answers the question!

I believe your right, and I think its due to the gold forks/calipers.
