Most of the newer bikes were sold to yuppies, the new weekend bikers. Now that their jobs and 401k's are in the tank, they sell the bikes quick.

Most of the true blue harley guys, own older bikes. Most of the older guys laugh if you own any harley AMF or newer.

IMO harley kept designing for the new age bikers, that was a mistake. The more they produced the less the resale value.

Harley made the same mistake as chevy did, they let others corner the market on after market stuff. Big bore kits, cases, cams, wheels, carbs, tranny's, chrome items, etc, etc. The true blue guys would of paid an arm & leg, for harley factory hop up stuff.

The V twin metric bikes have kept their prices on the lower side, if they raise the price to much???...they could be screwed as well.

No matter what you say about harley's, they still get more women then any other bike..........Maybe it's that V twin vibrator affect?

Or maybe it's because they're the only motorcycle company that has boutiques in their dealerships.
