That sure is sweet. It has Lester rims to boot. He will get the money he is asking for it most likely. It takes some serious money to build one like that IMO.

Well we've all seen Stock Z1 rebuilds go for $10K over at Redline Cycles.... I guess it's possible based on additional items and low mileage....

Just out of curiosity, what does a complete Turbo kit run these days?

I think a turbo kit new from Mr. Turbo runs between $3500 - $4.000. Yeah, the guy who just finished my engine sold one of his 73 Z1's to Chica last month for I think right around 10k.

Cool bike, but imo not worth the asking price. It was built a long time ago and the price should reflect that, low miles or not.

to someone with the right money in the bank..and a shine in their eyes...it is worth whatever they can outbid someone...that is the genius of auctions in a way....e-bay gets a few bucks i bet on this one too....

in japan ...or anywhere else really...it would be bragging rights for sure...

My concern would be that he mentioned the turbo isn't spooling up. That could get expensive to fix and with that price already...

1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110

sweet bike but i could buy jeff's bike for less and drive it home that day.
for some reason i think he might have parts on the shelf for his as well. :woohoo:

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.
