The frame number says the bike is a 1979 KZ1000B3 (aka LTD)...the motor may not have been originally married to the bike and does fit in the MKII range...HOWEVER, just being in the 'range' doesn't necessarily make it a MKII motor. There have been a number of discussions on this site regarding what constitutes a 'MKII' motor. I counsel you to make a list of those attributes and the next time you have the engine apart, check those attributes.

Jack Offline User Posts: 703 Thank you received: 7	If it truly does have the MKll motor in your 79 LTD. that's a nice upgrade as the 79 LTD's had Z1 style cases and cranks. BTW, any Z or KZ motor from 73 to 80 will fit in your frame. 79 KZ 1075 MKll 79 KZ 1500 MKll dragbike Gone but not forgotten: 3 X 73 Z1's 1 X 74 Z1A 1 X 75 Z1B

I'm thinking it's a 1979 Ltd but both provided links didnt work for me. Possibly just reading them wrong. The title mirrors the engine number not the frame Kz750 (81) Kz1000 (79) 3 Kz650 (2-79's) 1 650 CSR for parts
