1976 Honda CB 125 - worth the time? was created by apbling
A friend of mine asked me to get his 1976 Honda CB 125 motorcycle running for him. Said he would pay me, although I'll probabaly just do it for a cold beer or something...

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows if these 125's are worth much? I'm guessing it shouldn't be hard to get going. He said it was running when he parked it in 1996.

and a nice new battery...they are super cool...some hate the tiny hondas but i dig em...seems every yr or so i see one parked in a corner alley, or some kid learning traffic on a relic ,going to acampus ect....little bikes are great trainers too....and will not kill the person that's learning the second they feed it some /clutch/gas....

beyt it fires right up with a carb clean and new plug and battery...

Hell, if it looks as nice as that little beauty in Ed's image, I'd do if for bragging rights alone...

As with any of these 70's era bikes, up to the owner if it's worth it or not...

As with a KZ build, on a POS <$500 purchase it's going to cost you more then the bikes worth to truly restore/mod it but we do it anyways....

Why you ask... Cause we're not normal! :woohoo:

I just started fixing up my first bike a 1976 Honda CB125s..... They are pretty awesome, but finding parts is really hard because they are such small bikes. The main problem I am having is that it's running real rich, and I can't keep it idling high enough to turn the choke off... sooooo it's super frustrating. hope you're having an easier time with your friends 125, maybe you have some pointers also?

I learned to ride on a CB125S.
Had a blast on that little thing.
Got her up to 80 mph downhill with a tail wind once. :woohoo:
