anyone have any knowledge on these few parts


anyone know about these items::::::

1979-80 KZ1000 MKII (mine is an A3)

does it share it's tail cowling with the kz750 of 82?

can i use the right switch housing from the earlier kz1000-900 with the on/off headlight switch?for my 79 mkII

can i use the seat from any other kawi..1980 Z1R...shaft drive MKII....ect on my MKII a3


1984 GPZ550 Ca model..(ZX550A1L)....

will the tank of the same design yrs gpz 750 fit on the zx550 bike...i heard it may but i doubt this....they are super hard to locate...

Yes!

I've noticed that some parts are superceeding to newer part numbers in lieu of those differences. For instance, a radiator for my 94 KX is NLA, but a rad for a 99-02 is still available. The only differences between the two is the 94 is black and does not have a tab for a small 2" brace. Originally 2 different part numbers. So somehow Kawi is making it a little easier for us.

Tri, another trick to this whole part interchange thing is to reserarch surrounding parts. Let's say....an intake boot (Holder, Carburetor) if the heads and carbs between the two bikes are the same part number then you can almost bet the holders are the same. Might have a vac port on the opposite side, but will bolt right in. Looking up gasket part numbers is a big help too.

ok thanks that is a good tip for the mounts and mating areas...great tip...

i need to mess around on the site there and see if i can get a tad better at it's quirks...thanks...
