Great place to start man...
Looks alot like my 440LTD when I picked it up, which is very close to what it still looks like *lol*

Welcome to KZRider!

One thing I have to say, if it wasn't already in your plans. Don't 'replace' those raked back stock bars, get something a little broader, that face backwards less. I found them to be a little squirrely, and prone to bending. (As your bikes', and my 440's POs' must have found out at some point)

Keep the pics coming as the project gets underway.

As an update i went and Took off the battery took off the gas tank and peeked at the carbs, but havent taken them off yet. After carfully looking at the bike i realized it has 2006 plates on it so it hasnt been on the road in 4 years atleast and the gas tank it horridly crusted with varnish and rust im gonna take care of that next week hopefully.

when i open the carbs they looked nice and clean on the inside. i was looking at a site and it says i have the TK22 carbs on mine and the letters on the side say TK so i would assume they are right. now im gonna have to pill those off and hope they arent as bad as the gas tank.

Question for anyone (remeber im new so dont be to hard on me) when bike is completely shut off and clutch is pulled shouldn't i be able to travel through all the gears when it isnt moving or does the bike have to be moving to shift it. ive got the battery taken off and need to clean the tank and carbs but i was movin it just the other day and when i stoped it and was messin around i tried to shift it through the gears and went to 1st and stopped is that normal when it isnt running, or should i atleast be able to travel through them?

Nothing to worry about. Kawasaki calls it the Positive Neutral Finder. Basically, it prevents you from acessing second gear on up until the bike is moving. Perfectly normal.
