I scanned the pages of the article and added more pictures Wes sent me in e-mails.

Yes, they had head gasket issues with the 7mm overbore, and went back to the 3mm kit, winning last years class championship. The bottom end is stock and untouched on the 615 engine, but the whole 7mm engine was a tear-down. The stock 550 bottom ends are very strong as they are.

I have no idea what the current engine is producing at the wheel, but in the link above it shows a stock '84 GPz550 over the 7mm overbore engine. YIKES!!!!

Thanks for the scans, Corey. It was the 2006 MOMBA bike that inspired my own forrays into "Kawaskai mad science", so I appreciate seeing the follow-up.
