Also, the date code comes after "DOT" & some other markings on the tire.
My front tire has: DOT DK07 2AC * 0706
0706 is the date - the 7th week of 2006.

If you're unsure of how to read the date, contact the manufacturer. That's what I did.

They do have pretty good prices, but you do have to watch out for how old the tires are, as someone previously mentioned.

I bought a set for of S11's for my 550 honda last season and couldn't be happier!

I paid 120 shipped for both from motorcyclesuperstore.com.

The tires were less than a couple months old, handle very well, and still look brand new after 4k miles.
