This is probably one of the worst rear ender accidents involving motorcycles ever. Very sad.
I've been rearended too. It happened way back in 1981 and it was a hit and run also, but thankfully it was not a major accident and I was able to jump back on the KZ650 and with bent up rear fender ect chase her down and believe it or not there was like 4 police cars there within seconds. One witnessed the entire thing. One time I was happy the police were there.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I hate seeing this stuff. Hugely depressing.

But sometimes we need to... you know, awareness.

My deepest sympathies go out to those poor souls.

Local news is reporting that the guy wasn't drunk, passed the sobriety field test.

He was fishing for some paper work... :(

Ruined the bikers life and their families but also his on for that matter... Just a total dumb ass FUBAR mistake that cost everyone dearly....

I can only imagine this guy just feels like total crap... totally bummed out...

Oh well, stay on the left behind the drivers side in clear view of his mirror, KZ in gear and consistently watching the mirrors... You just never know.... Have to be ready to punch it at a given moment...

Tragic...

A fourth person just died in the hospital. Just too tragic! Here is where it happened. The slight down hill didn't help at all.
