Best repair manuals for the $$$$. was created by kz krazy
I am starting a restoration on my 76 KZ 900. I would like to know where to get the best manuals? Are they specific for that year? What manual do you suggest? I am working with an " OLD LADY !!!" & 2 kid budget.

A Factory Shop Manual is the bible. The Haynes and Chiltons give basic info at best. There are a few threads that have links to downloadable manuals for free if you search around.

Here is a site that has some links but you will have to search for your particular bike to see if there is a manual

X2 The shop manual is the one the mechanics at the shop use. It is by far the best.

Service manual is best. I like the one I have in PDF. I just bring the lap top into the shop or print the pages I need. Parts Catalog is good also. There is a good VM manual for Mikuni Carbs that can come in handy. But the best reference of all is this site when it comes to these bikes. I wish someone would put together a picture book of different angles of a totally stock bike. High quality so we could zoom in....Russ

That would be an excellent idea, Russ, assuming any stockers exist. For most people stock = boring. :(
