where to get oil pressure gauge? was created by 9am53
I checked Z1, and eBay but couldn't find any at reasonable prices...I thought a simple gauge like this would cost like 10 bucks, can I get a gauge from the auto parts store?

you might have to bite the bullet on this one if ya want one....our bike oil systems run at like 2-4 psi when warm...reg oil guages run up to 40,50 psi...you arent gonna get an accurate reading with a guage set up for reading up to 50 psi.....just my take....i bought the one off ebay...i think renobob or something like that was the seller...you could save a few bucks and just buy the guage from him and head down to your local hardware store for the fittings..i think he has 2 prices...one for guage and one for guage and fittings....i havent looked lately, but that is how he used to sell em...

what I will do is go to my local auto parts place and see if they can order one for me, if not I have family in buffalo so I will send it there and when we visit I will pick it up...just would save some hassle if they shipped here.

Are you needing a pressure gauge for measurements on your new build to confirm oil pressures in the case or as to leave in the bike while running down the road?

Try these guys, www.mcmaster.com . Their warehouse is the place you want to be stuck in if there is ever a national emergency. It may take a while to go through the catalog but they have everything, and pretty good prices too.

If I remember correctly, you have Autozones up there don;t ya?

~ $20... You'll most likely have to adapt a coupler (metric) but ACE or any other hardware store up there should have that....

I suppose I don't need to keep it in the bike permanently, but it would add a little bling I mainly just want it for when I start her up for the first few times to see if things are ok ...anyways, the issue with the above gauges is that they all go to 100 psi, I of course am ideally looking for far less.
