First off, I'm new here & just got an '82 750 Spectre (tried posting a pic of it in the newbie's section but it didn't work). Does anyone know where I can get a manual for that bike? All of the manuals I have been finding don't say a word about the shaft drives.

The bike seems to be in very good shape but it hasn't been on the road since '89 and I want to go over it completely before I start riding it.

Look for a KZ750 Shaft manual - the Kawasaki factory manual usually has a Spectre on the cover. Also, the back of the cover will list the models. They seem to be readily available on ebbaayy at varying prices.

I've been looking on there, from time to time and didn't see one. I was mainly looking on Amazon & other used book sites. Kinda feel like a stooge now. :unsure:


Thanks. I will "Buy It Now".

Truthfully, I'll wait until I mention this to my girlfriend. She has a habit of finding and buying stuff like this especially if she knows I am looking for it. (i.e. she bought me Smokey Yunick's 3 book set "Best Damn Garage in Town", an owner's manual for the bike, and oh yeah, & she bought me the bike :) )
