No title. I believe I can get title with little time and hassle. He has Rear wheel, old 4 in 1 header (not kerker)etc. Many original parts are there except carburetor, ignition switch and cover, right hand switch, throttle grip, head light rim and ring petcock, coils, oil tank, air box at least. If I get i will think as long term project and strip down all. motor is not locked up. Got little over 20k miles on speed meter.
He is asking 500 but said take 400. Will offer less if I go back.
The other thing is label with frame number is not there. I should have gotten engine number.
What do you all think?

That's a Z1. I would have paid the man. That way if you need help with the title he might be able to help you. Roy
roy,
besides the side cover and the reflectors on the shocks, what says its a z-1.....i hit the pic and its wayy small...
just wondering.....

That's a great question. Is there a way to tell from the picture if the engine is a Z1 unit?

even if you use it for a parts inventory and a spare motor to build up for kicks....it's right at 400 imo tops.....but at 200....it is a deal too.....again whats 400 gonna do as far as beating on your nerves....
it is a z and they will never make anymore.....might as well break it down and shelve the good back up salvage stuff...
let us know how you make out.......

He got this as a package deal with 76 kz900. He fixed 76 and sold it. But he doesn't have time to mess with this, so he is selling it. He told me he was told the motor is good but he never seen it run either. He also said he can give 90 days (that's what he thought it will take to get title straight)and if I can't get title he will refund money.
One side of me is saying too many missing parts and it will cost some to get it right. Don't jump on it. Another side of me saying it is hard to come by especially in my area so why not just grab it anyway.
When I got up with him today he was kinda hurry. I will go back tomorrow to check motor number and some other thing.
Value of 400 for old Kaw to me is different from my wife's for sure. I feel it is priceless some times. it is 70/30 for getting it.

forks,sidecovers,shocks........ id say $300-$400 is doable if motor aint locked,im gonna guess 74-75 from silver motor.any z1 is worth grabbing up for that kind of money, ive got waaaaaaaaaaay too much stuff already but if it showed up within 100 miles of here it would be on its way to the undisclosed barn! :laugh:keith1 wrote:
