Haven't been on here in awhile but I have a question:

I have a 1975 KZ900, vin # z1b79580, the bike has been sitting in a barn for years,engine kicks over. I have a guy that has offered me $800 for it- I just want to know if thats a fair price or am I giving it away. It is pretty much complete. E-mail me @ ddscholten@aol.com or call me if you can 517-242-7780 I would appreciate the help. This guy is going to meet me at noon today.

You have a Z1-B model. The Z1's usually bring more money than the KZ's. Depends on the condition though, if you could get it running it would bring more money than just a complete bike that used to run. Check the Kelly Blue book and you will see how the prices vary between the Z1 and KZ My 2 cents

Can you post some quick pics of the bike? There are some very knowledgeable guys here that live and breathe these bikes. I am sure they will be along soon.

If it is a true Z1B (and the frame and motor VIN's are correct for the bike)...and the bike is more or less complete, then you are giving it away for US$800.00. It all depends on the overall condition of the bike, and it is difficult to assess your bike w/out pictures, but you should be able to generate more funds than that.

The old bike ought to bring $2500.00 if it is all there(in stock trim) and kicks over.

Had one, last year for the Z1 models. Agree that if it turns over and everything is there $ 800 is too low. If it's still got stock paint, 4 -4 pipes, carbs/airbox etc. add $$$
