swingarm help!

i pulled one of my old 77 kz1000s out of the pile and thought i would make myself a retro 80s prostreeter out of it. i bought a calfab extended swingarm off a 83 suzuki gs1100. i was always told they interchange with a kaw. not in this case, this swingarm is wider. so was i right or wrong that they are the same?

pivot point should be roughly an 1/8" narrower on each side for susuki arm

evidently i wasnt sold a suzuki swingarm. that sucks. but i will have to try putting it on, no sense wasting the money.
any body have a used x-pipe?

who makes the tailight kit when you remove the rear fender

Have the new arm machined to fit the frame. Good luck with the pipe. You can make your own tail light kit there are a lot of threads on here. I made mine out of scrap metal. Cost $0.00.

turn out the guy wasnt sure it was a suzuki swingarm, so i didnt make a fuss and will do some cutting.
