I live in OKC and ride almost year round, except for the few cold weeks we have, like right now. Most of my friends are not riding however, I'm the oddball I guess. You can count on January-February being too cool for most of the riders here, but the rest is just good riding.

I'm in Tulsa and ride year-round (when that @#$%^&!!!!! KZ650 is running).

December through March can get a little rough, but can be dealt with with the right gear. I work nights at a casino (guess I won't see you there), and have ridden home comfortably in temperatures as low as 25 degrees and uncomfortably in temps as low as 6.

I used to store my bike on my patio at my old place and had problems with the 20.00 Wal-Mart cover I bought leaking and holding in moisture. I bought a Guardian which was, I think, about a hundred bucks, but it was worth every penny.

The roads here are a real problem, they are terrible. Bridges literally regularly dropping chunks of concrete onto cars passing below and cars crossing the bridges wrecking because of the actual holes those falling chunks of concrete leave behind. A month or so ago, a motorcyclist was killed when, while travelling at the speed limit, he hit a pothole and crashed.

I had to laugh on tax day when they ran the story of the TEA Party rally where all the angry Tulsans raised so much hell about taxes. In the G-8 country with the lowest taxes (by far), Oklahoma is among the bottom 10% of US states in taxes, which is why our roads are falling apart (among other things).

I absolutely love Tulsa, but in the past three or four years the roads have gotten so bad I don't ride at night on roads I don't know well and/or haven't driven recently. It is honest-to-god dangerous, and the absolute worst roads I've ever driven on (I've lived in 13 cities in 10 states since I started driving).
