hmmm... A good start would be to list the specs/parts on your 900. Have you ever ran it at the strip before? Are you pretty experienced? is the other rider? A new liter bike is hard to beat, esepecially if ur messin around on the streets.

I think this one would come down to who's the better rider. I've taken a lot of bikes I shouldn't have been able to because I was better in the saddle.

I have never ran it at a strip before. but i have done illegal drag racing down the streets against other bikes though. i would always come out winning. I don't think he has even ever ridden that 929RR. He says he "bought it off of his brother a few days ago" yeah right. His is stock, mine is modified with the following:

Engine:
Mr Turbo Pipes, 4 in two, baffles taken out.
Turbo Kit,
Racing Cams,
Motor set up for racing,
NGK B8ES plugs, getting new ones.
Ported head,
Valves
K&N Filters[ won't help much i know]
Bored out to either 1,0075, or a 1,200. not sure.
Jetted.

Other things:
Frame painted black,
Custom Paint done long time ago
Dunlop Qualifier tires
Bars
new Seat,
etc.

I know the Other Things category doesn't make it faster. It sure does give some good looks though!

mr turbo 4into2 exhuast with baffles taken out and a turbo K&N filters? just went out and looked 4n1 turbo exhuast/header feeding into turbo.1 carb on a normal turbo bike= 1 filter  valves? valves are good in any 4 stroke motor! bars? handle bars/juice bars /wheelie bars/gay bars?(be more specific greggie! )jetted, yes jetting is a good thing on a turbo bike with a single carb and single K&N filter.

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

PLUMMEN you may be right, i have seen that bike, but havent looked at the engine really. so with a single K&N and one carb should make my KZ running again should be easier. Posting pics on Sat. don't worry. and there is no wheelie bar or any sort of that. just the stock swingarm. *yikes* that's why the bike was a wheelie monster back in the day. still will be!

"NGK B8ES plugs, getting new ones."

I think you will take him as long as you install the new plugs and you are running matched tires. I usually install some Amsoil in the crankcase before a race as well. I like to think of it as my secret weapon.

I've had turbos on a gas motorcycle engine. Worthless. The CBR929RR will do the quarter mile, be back in the pits ready for another run before a 900LTD turbo gets down the track most likely, and that's *if* it gets down the track an entire quarter mile under power which is about a 25% probability.
OK I'm pissed cause I can't make a turbo work and don't care to ever try again. I've seen them run and run real great. I'm pissed cause they "DON'T WORK". Don't work for me anyways.:)

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
