CMM is my favorite/favourite classic bike magazine. It's a very readable magazine. They have some very useful tips as well in their various 'how-to' articles. It is WELL worth the money.
THe ELR featured in that recent issue is one of our customers - a great individual and very active in the UK Z1 Owners Club.

I subscribed for several years, but they had a thing about Honda. I have nothing against Honda, but they seem to dwell on CB350s, CX500s, stuff like that. Garbage. CB350 has potential, but CX500 should be buried 50ft underground and never seen or heard from again. This went on and on for several years and I gave up. Emailed them asking simple question as to why they deem 350 Honda's "the" bike every month and got no response so in the trash for the magazine for me. So long.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

To pay $60 a year, for a magazine out of which I may like one at best 2 each season is way too steep. I sure can'd afford to toss that kind of money today. As RONKZ650 stated, I have absolutely NO interest in Hondas of ANY kind.

I've bought CMM on and off since ~1992.
I've noticed that they go through "phases" with the different manufacturers. I believe a lot has to do with the general public's contributions of pics and bikes deemed to be suitable for an article or feature in the Showstoppers section.
For what SEEMED like a year ( about 2 years or so ago) it was nothing but various flavours of brand y slugs. That really ticked me off and almost soured me on the mag entirely.....but.....then they came back with 2 issues full of Kwak stuff. Soooo, what they really need is more balance each month, if at all possible, IMO. I'm sure it's a tough job to get suitable bikes for the main articles and I wouldn't want the job, that's for sure.....plus the fact that they're basically limited to the UK with the odd article about a particular bike in Europe somewhere.
All in all, they do a decent job considering the limitations of subjects for articles, time and budget, IMO.
