thats too bad to hear. Buell is a great example of a well engineered motorcycle. Not a huge harley fan, but every motorcycle has its place, sad to hear they are struggling.

well i am pretty sure Erik Buell will somehow get the right to the name again and start looking for investors. it will be interesting to see if harly is hard up for money enough to supply them parts though.

it's too bad they where a rockin fun bike to ride, yes they had problems butdid they deserve to go i don't think so one of the reason they went on the chopping block is because harley credit in the past year lost a fortune they gave out ridiculas loans out to just about anybody that was breathing and now these same people are defaulting on the loan's also harley got greedy and flooded the market with high dollar bikes that evrybody had to have regardless wether they actually could pay for them i personally knew guy's that where on unemployment beifits that received loans for ultra's with every option known to man and harley absouletely ridiculassss.

That's a shame. I've been completely turned off from aver buying a HOG but a Buell would have been on my pick list should I ever step away from old Kaws (unlikely). Unfortunately, too many of the Faithful wouldn't give a Buell a second look (proof that maintaining fashion is more important than having a fun bike in the garage as well?).
MV Augusta is too esoteric for most sport riders so I don't really see that line as anything but a burden on the MoCo in the coming months/years. With the market flooded with almost new, lightly used, and re-po'ed bikes, I don't see HOG turning this corner anytime soon, especially with many owners still buying into the lie that a HOG is an "investment" and they should be able to sell it for more than they paid for it.
PLUMMEN has a valid point that they may survive solely on apparel and branded trinket sales.
