Tell me what you guys think of this. I am thinking I should go check out. I don't have my current 77 1000 project done yet but I would like to have a nice longer trip bike in the future. I also have a space 1000 from a 1979 LTD sitting in the garage. What are your thoughts?!?

Nice bike but that seat looks like a Flintstones thingy. Free Willy! ;)

I will give the guy a call tomorrow. I've never owned a shaft drive. Anything I should know about this bike before I go take a look?

look for the same kind of things that you would with your other bikes like i said grab it. the hard bags and mounts would get that from the right person. everything else is a bonus.

Hello,

I own a Z1000ST since 1981. The real problems are little. Mainly the fuel indicator in the rpm-meter is not working. Mine needed a new cylinder head and foot gasket at appro. 40,000 mls.

For me it is the best iron horse for long distance rides...

Regards from good old Germany - Peter

color co-ordination is allways an important selling point.

I talked to that guy,he said the bike wont run but it looks exactly like mine did before I unsaddled it.The 79-80 KZ1000STs were fitted with the 93hp 1015 engines! They are shaft drive MKIIs!With some 140 mains and a header the sleeping giant awakes with a vengence!

Picked it up last night for $400. Looks to be 100% complete! Including the tool kit and the CycleSound AM/FM/CB! Don't know when it last ran but it is not siezed up. Hopefully today I can tinker a little and see if it will start. I know I need fresh gas and I will drain the oil and put in some fresh oil. I will pull the plugs and see what they look like. Anything else I need to do before I put some power to it and push the start button? I figure I need to get to that point and see what happens. Then it will need more work (mostly cosmtic), but I want to get it started first.
