Dnepr--any thoughts on these bikes?

I see there's a a Dnepr with hack rig on E-bay. Seems pretty cheap. You guys/guyettes have any thoughts/experiences with these contraptions. I'd like to pick up a cycle with hack rig to go with my '82 440 LTD. Just some thing to feel a little different than most Bike riders push down the road.

A friend of mine bought one some years ago and loves it. He doesn't put too many miles on it so its been pretty good. Just keep in mind that it's an archaic design, inferior built machine and don't expect it to haul you and a passenger across the country and back. lol

They are a collection of used, spray painted, cold war left-overs. Real crap shoot on what you will get. The few I have seen were a real let down, very VERY slow, top speed in the 50-55 mph range. For the price he is asking you could get an R75 BMW and a ural sidecar and still have money left over.

Do it right or don't bother doing it at all.

I'd be concerned about parts. How close is the nearest Dnepr dealership?

Well, thanks for the input , Guys. I let it go. I just want something I can throw my leg over, turn the key, and travel down the road. I'll stick with a Royal Enfield with sidecar.See you Guys out there, maybe.
