I think of the ZRX as the younger, bigger, brother to the 900 Ninja. Not at all bad company!

new old school!
Stephane Roux, Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada.
It’s been three years that i regularly see a nice souped up ZRX parking at the corner of where I work.
He also saw me once (I have a inside parking) and now we finally meet. Like two kids, see you
tomorrow at lunch time with our bikes!
Next day I parked my Superbike Replica near ZRX1100. Pascal and I met at noon,
ate pizza slices and talked about our bikes.
Old School versus New School, enjoy the pics!

i had a 2000 zrx 1100 i bought brand new and i loved that bike....the only thing i hated was the stock seat and put a corbin on it....put a d and d pipe on it also....rode that puppy from lincoln new hampshire to quebec and back one day.....great machine.....very linear power delivery.....why they de-nutted a zx-11 motor and put it in i will never understand.....that bike would be on anyones top 5 list with a the zx-11 motor in full trim.....anyhow, i traded it in for a zx-9r........i know where my zrx is, havent seen the guy around to see if he wants to sell back...he ran down to the dealer to grab it when i traded it in......

Well I would have to say yes it is family but only if you are 6' tall or less.I am 6'9" and no way can I ride the ZRX, yes I do make all of my bikes look like 250's lol.I even convinced myself the ZRX would get more comfortable the more I rode it just not the case. The Fz1 is a great bike and though it is not a KZ or Z1 it does carry those numbers F "Z1".I am not trying to get the fz1 into the kz family just my twisted mind convincing myself it might have been yamaha trying to fool me.

i'm 5'6" so my problem is the opposite and seeing you guys cry about your horrible curses makes me feel sorry for you "NOT!" hahahaha
imagine not beeing able to reach the ground with both feet at a light. but thats why they make shorty shocks so runts like me don't fall over lol!
anyway thanks for your input on the zrx

well then your avatar pic is decieving cause it scales you at about 6'3" next to your kawi....and no need to worry about putting your feet down....at 5' 6" you can make any bike scream and fit in the slip stream.....so i feel sorry "not".....a zrx would definitly be "your " size and a perfect bike...i thought you were a lanky rider....bitchin to fit on bikes i bet.....

The rex is definatly part of the family... just the new generation. The rex is a wornderful bike... probably one of my favorites of all time. Much like the kz... the rex is good at all things but not great at one. you can use it for a Track bike, Drag bike, Tour bike, etc. There are almost as many mods for them as the kz. From stockers to Turbo bikes. They are very cool bikes that are underestimated way too often. The ZRXOA is a great forum for info on them if you are needing any info... im usually on the turbo forums if you got any questions about them.
