I pay $127 a year for 50/100 liability, 25,000 property damage, and 50/100 uninsured motorist.
The uninsured motorist is the expensive part on my policy, $84 of the $127. Your cost is not bad. I just renewed this policy with GMAC. I also quoted Progressive and GEICO and got much higher quotes for the same coverage.

I'm also in OR. When I shopped around, I got the best rate through Progressive. For my two KZ1000s with 100/300 liability, 50 property, and 100/300 uninsured motorist, I pay $159/yr.
GEICO was WAY higher.
GEICO was WAY higher.

Thats after shopping around! The next cheapest I could find was 1200$ My 550 cost me 875$ a year. I live in Ontario, you are a canuck too so I would expect it to be similar in Alberta, but I guess not!. When I am over 30 and have lots of experience I can expect around 400-500 a year, but thats about it as far a litre bikes go (and my 1052$ is only that cheap because my bike is 998cc, if I have a 1015 is would be more.)
Maybe I should move to ALberta myself...my cousin just came back from a couple years in Lethbridge and said yer taxes are a joke compared to us!

What ever you pay after my wreck with a under insured 18 yr old I now have 300,000 coverage for uninsured motorist. Hell my Kaiser bill was over 160,000. I don't think you can have too much coverage. You never know when that 18 yr old is coming to get you.

Alberta insurance can be a joke too. In SK now I pay about $50 a month for my 900 and I could register it as a vintage/antique but then the max payout i would get in case of it being totalled is $800.
I can't remember exactly how much I was paying for my 750 in alberta. Maybe around $750/year? I do know that being a teenager meant that as far as car insurance it was cheaper to buy me an old car and insure it than it would have been to put me on my parent's insurance as an occasional driver on one of their cars. Also, part of the reason I ended up moving to Sk was that it was going to be $2000/year to insure my car, a '93 mazda 323 :woohoo: . The car isn't even worth that, in SK now I pay about $600 a year.
