My 1980 KZ650 LTD

This is my first bike I have ever owned. Im 27 so I figured it was time to get one. I believe I made a good choice, cause I hear nothing but good things about these bikes. I picked it up 2 weeks ago for $600. Adjusted the points, new plugs, and this bike moves! So far I've started painting the side plastics and headlight housing. Swapped out the front forks (rusted and pitted to all hell) with a set from a 1980 Yamaha XS850. They slid right on the KZ triple trees. And now I have dual front disk setup! Not to mention they were Free! Here are a few pics of her. Ill be posting more when I get more money to work on her.

Had some more time to work on her today. Finished sanding the tank down and got that painted. It needs touchup still and some wetsanding. But Im happy with the look.

That color looks great on the tank. I really highlights the contours. Ed

Thanks. I was thinking of just doing the whole thing that dark grey. But then I figured Ill throw a black stipe up the middle. Im really happy how it came out. Probably going to do the same for the front and rear fenders.
