I also saw one sell several years ago that had been restored with original exhaust for $3500.00. Both went to the mother land. Roy

I'll try and get him to post a pic of it. It is green.
I rode it and being a 750 it doesn't take off like a rocket and seemed to be geared high.
Also the guy that bought the Z2 in Ohio was japanese and he was riding a Z1 street fighter that he had spent $17,000 on for the conversion.
They were in a big R.V. that had room for bike storage and didn't seem to be hurting for money.
I have his bikes on Video but not didital.:S Roy

I have a friend in Houston that has one that is stock. It was built for the Japanese market and every thing wrote on the bike is Japanese. It has a big red light near the guages that lights up when you get up to (i think)55 mph.
I'll try and get him to post a pic of it. It is green.

Hello Roy...that is Dave's bike, right? If so, then he has several photos of the bike posted on the Z2 site I listed above.

Has he got a pic of me on the bike with the blonde neighbor that use to live next door that was a stripper?
We had some good times hangin out.
I liked it when he moved to the storage area to work as i could park my 18 wheeler there.
Has he still got all those bikes in the storage building? Roy

After doing some searching I found the site you refer to, I also saw a pic of your bike (McDroid) The bike That I am looking at I have seen 7 or 8 times with the last time being over 2 years ago. From what I can remember it has a king/queen seat aftermarket exhaust and was painted black. That is all I remember about details. I do remember it drawing my attention every time I was near it. (Yes its a sickness) Every time I see it I want it even more. I was thinking he would take $2500.00 from what I can remember from our previous conversations. I think alot of the parts are Z1 parts other than the motor pieces, am I correct on this. I am thinking if I can get it I would keep it and have a piece of history. With them being relativly rare in the US that to me makes it more attractive. I paid $250 for my Z1 in the 80's with no idea that it would be a collectable one day, back then they were plentiful. If the exporters drool for bikes like this I would like to be a thorn in thier side and keep it in the US. I am not thinking turn a profit and sell, I just think I would enjoy owning the old girl. I do not know the year but I remember looking at the tank as far as the way the Z1 tank differs from the KZ tank on the seams and it was the Z1 style (no lip underneath that can be seen) I will try to get some pics but I don't want him knowing how interested I am and jack the price on me.
Keep us posted on whether or not you acquire this bike...do you know if the current owner has it listed with the Z2 site?
