Goo Bike Parts - anybody ever order from here? was created by 79MKII
I've seen this web site referenced in several threads here at KZR and was wondering if anyone has ever ordered from here? Nothing is in English so I can't figure out very much, but I did find a MKII seat I'd like to buy.

Anyone read japanese? (I think it's japanese anway??)
Thanks!

I used my Translate button on google and yes if Yen is Japanese then your correct. Its neat when you are able to translate by just clicking on one easy button.

I found a google translation page was able to figure out a few things. I think I sent an email to them  so hopefully I'll hear something back.
I also have Jeff from Z1E checking for me - he's usually pretty good at being able to order from these places.
The seat runs around $200 U.S. plus shipping from Japan, but I just saw a stock seat go for over $400 on eBay. I don't want to buy one of those and cut it up! I sold 3 MKII seats over the last few years - I sure wish I had at least one of them back. I spent a lot of money on a totally custom seat and I'm just not completely happy with the looks of it.

Let me know if you can't get an answer. I can send email to them. I don't know about the company itself but somehow they (vendors in Japan)don't ship oversea in many instance. It says "no oversea shipping" in most of auction posting in Japan.
Google translate does fairly good job. I would say they do right about 80-90% of time.
I am originally from Japan and checking out KZ parts etc on web. There are many hard to find in US parts there. But never tried to get them yet. I thought about have friend there buy for me and ship to me as the last option.
BTW Japan's Amazon site has many nice books about kz900 and z1. Thinking get some soon. They are one of few ships oversea.

Thanks - I'll let you know if I don't hear something back from them. They sure have a lot of great parts - and so does PMC, also from Japan.

I did order a part for my W650 from Japan. I contacted them first to figure out if they would ship it, and how to pay for it. I got a prompt reply of PayPal and "no problem" so I ordered the part. That was nine months ago - and despite several e-mails requesting information, I have not received the part, nor had a reply to the e-mails.
Unless you have a friend over there who can purchase the part for you, and ship it, I would say beware! Fortunately, I am out less than $30 - but it is still very annoying!

Sorry to hear about that Limey. It's only $30 but still - nobody likes to get ripped off.
Was that order specifically with Goo Bike Parts or another company in Japan?

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully your part will show up one of these days. Not sure if it's too late or not, but PayPal has a pretty good dispute resolution system. They actually took the money from an eBay seller that I was unhappy with and gave it back to me! The seller never answered any emails from me or PayPal so they were found guilty by default and paypal gave me a refund. I was very suprised that they still had money in their account but I was glad to get it.

I have found things I wanted on the PMC site, contacted Jeff at Z1E and had them order the part...takes a while but Z1E has a rapport with some of the Japanese sites...meaning we can get some of the unusual material

Jeff was great and found out for me that the item I wanted is out of stock and there is no known date for restocking. I also got a response from the email I sent asking about the part and possibly shipping to the United States. Maybe it's a language thing but it sure sounds rude! Here's what they said:
"Thank you very much for asking about our products.
I am sorry we couldnot send products to the United States.
If you would like to ask about our products,
please write in Japanease next time.
Again, thank you.
