TerryK That is a very short description you have.
Sorry, I figured people would see the description on my sig!
1977 KZ1000
GSXR swingarm and rear brake
WM6 rear Akront rim
Wiseco 1075c pistons
34mm Mikuni flat slide carbs

Frame is gusseted in all the right places. Future mods include a modern front end and controls, swingarm and shock, wheels, pipe and more motor mods.
I've also had my 1000 for 26 years. It was bone stock except for the Wiseco pipe. I had the stock exhaust but lost it somewhere over the years. Bought it about 2 weeks after I met my wife so she says she was here first. (but she knows she will be the first to go if I had to choose!! )

My '79 650 SR. These pictures are a few years old (2005) and there have been a couple of slight changes since, the most visible is a set of mini crash bars. I rode it again for the first time in a year last night after replacing the forks on it Sunday evening. With the more narrow and higher bars it feels much different from the KZ650B3 that I've gotten used to.
Mods, well it has a few.
Dyna S ignition
ACCEL coils and wires
HEL USA stainless brake lines on the front
Bar Snake
Grips
H4 halogen headlamp (installed last night!)
Coil power mod
Mini crash bars
POR-15 lined tank
Manual petcock
38 tooth rear sprocket
My intent has been to keep it as stock as possible, but I've given it upgrades that provide a performance/maintenance improvement without sacrificing the stock appearance.
Nate
