Anyone know how to mount a steering stabilizer on a 650B?

Are they a good add on?

Thanks

I fitted a stabilizer to my KZ900 years ago and took it back off when I finally figured out that the head shake/wobble I was fighting was caused by worn swingarm bushings. I wouldn't imagine that the 650 is that much different in the frame geometry department.

They sell brackets on ebay that bolt on to a fork leg and then you weld a piece on the frame to bolt it onto.

Some go from the fork back to the right screw in reflecter hole on the down tube.

Just curious - are you putting it on the bike to help compensate for an existing wobble or for some other reason? Ed

My '73 came stock with a bracket on the right hand frame down tube and a hole in the lower triple tree where the damper-s Kawasaki product itself-bolts right on. It's still there 36 years later and works just fine. It was the first accessory I installed when new, and I got it after some magazine articles at the time mentioned possible problems at high speed due to the frame being "under engineered" for the motor. I had it up to an indicated 125 mph once and it felt solid but I never took it up that fast again.
