small LTD fairings? was created by 9am53
Hi, just wondering if there exists a small fairing that would mount on a 1982 LTD 1000 that would retain the LTD look. I just want a small one to help cover the mess of wires I have going on and maybe provide some slight wind protection for me while not making it look cafe'd out or anything.

Thanks

turn signals mount to the headlight bucket. i bought some short stems from z1enterprises and mounted the front turn signals to these. only part about the job i didnt like was i had to trim quite a bit of material on the fairing where the stalks come out. in the picture you can see part of the front fork shining thru under the turnsignal.

You can cut slots in the fairing instead of trimming it. Thats what I had to do with the vetter cafe style fairing I bought.

I cut a D shape out of a sheet of aluminum and drilled mounting holes for the main headlight bucket bolts.

A coat of engine black... doesn't look bad. Sorry, no pics.
