KZ550 Seat was created by ESTurbo4
I got a new seat from eBay about a month ago. I was wondering what you guys use to keep yours nice? My friend suggested Armorall but I don't wanna be sliding all around. I was gonna try shoe polish but figured I'll ask for some suggestions first. I think the seat is vinyl, it's a NOS seat that says Kawasaki on the back. The bike sits outside in my parking lot most of the time, so I wanna put something on it to keep it nice. Sorry if this is an over asked newbie question. B)

Right! NO Armor all not a good thing for vinyl. just a mild soap and water is whats needed, and keep out of direct sunlight it breaks down and fades vinyl over time . AND welcome to KZR. regards Duke

+1 on Iron Dukes advice. I've used nothing but water on mine for 32 years and it still looks great; a little bit of quality car wash or other mild soap shouldn't hurt. If you use any type of "armor all" or other vinyl conditioners the seat will end up with a funky artificial look and you may slide off the back of it if you accelerate hard. Ed

Suggest a good quality motorcycle cover since you said it sits outside often.
