What's your best ride ever? was created by franknsr
A few years back someone told me what a great ride he had through the smokey mountains in Tennessee. He described it as the prettiest scenery he had seen. Based on that I planned a long weekend and rode down, camped out and had a great trip.

Just wondering what rides anyone else has had that were memorable or that you would recommend to your friends.

The ride from Lee Vining, to the bottom of Yosimite Valley and up to Glacier Point. and then thru Gold country. The sights, the smells, the road. All spectacular.G

Probally in southern missouri, in and near the back roads in branson, near table rock lake, then into mountain home arkansas.

36 out of Longmont to Estes Park,34 out of Estes thru Rocky Mountain Natl. Park to granby 40 to 9 south to Silverstone and Vail.#2 Yellowstone Natl. Park. #3 90 from Wall thru Rapid City,Sturgis,Spearfish,then 212 to the little Big Horn.

Best motorcycle ride I have done in the US was in Colorado on my '78 XS650. From Grand Junction through Palisade and up onto the Grand Mesa. Down the other side to Delta then back to Grand Junction.

Did it several times when I lived there - in both directions!

Wish we had roads like that somewhere near here!:(

Reno Nevada to Sacremento Ca.
Flagstaff Az to Albuquerque NM at night on 40. When you see the city lights below it is pretty amazing. If you have seen it you will never forget it.

Worst ride San Diego to Santa Barbara on a Rigid Bonneville with a springer front end. My kidneys hurt for a week and I was 22 at the time...Russ

By far, The Kolekole pass Rt780, on Oahu going down. You have to have a government ID to be able to do it, because it is from Schofield Barracks down to the Naval ammunition dump. It is A narrow two lane with a totally vertical drop off to your left within feet of you and vertical cliffs to your right. With just a stunning view over most of the southeast part of the island.

No particular best road for me but here in SoCal we have many fantastic roads from coastal to mountains and in between. Many great choices... :)

I have hit about every state, just spent a week in the smokey mountains been coast to coast several times, but I still think any place in Wisconsin is still the best.
