If it runs well, it is worth at least $1,800 it has 73-74 28mm carbs on it which by themselves will fetch as much as $300 on eBay or sometimes more.

Yep, the KZ900's are going up in price. $1200 is more than fair if it runs.

If it truly runs, more than $1200 these days.

Wish I could find another one at all around here. The only ones I know of are completed restored and bookoo bucks (I don't think the owner really wants to sell them).

I think it is worth $1200, but as indicated above, you ought to offer $1000 and you'll probably save yourself $100 as you'll both compormise at $1100. Good luck!

Ok, I talked to him. According to him, 82 or 83 was the last year the bike had a tag. Sat in the storage till he got it. He got it running and modified some. But now he need sell because baby is on the way. I have a baby on the way too but I will go to get the bike on Saturday. (unless something is really different when I see it)

is back registration a problem where you are...can you check "that" bikes back due dmv money...if there even is any owed ,it would be good to know before a price is agreed upon...it can run into the hunderds easy.........i am liking the bike a bit more each time i look...you could really make a nice bike outta that...good luck

My understanding is that if the registration expires, won't owe nothing to dmv in here NC. Just can't drive legally.Thank you for your concern though.
