New york repair shops was created by kz750_flattracker
Hey guys I've got a kz750 that needs some work done to it and i'm looking for a shop that still works on these bikes or if anyone knows of a mechanic in the upstate new york that truly knows about the bike. It is what is as far as the bike goes I got the bike in a box off of Craig’s list so i’m not trying to restore in to show room condition I just want to be able to take it out for a cruise. The main issues are the charging system, and jetting issues. I have been searching the forum and it has become overwhelming. I’m just at the point where I would like someone who knows what there doing to iron out the details. The previous owner was going to build a chopper out of the bike and started to thin out the wiring harness. The bike starts and runs but the charging system is not hooked up and I can’t seem to find where the wires from the alt.hook up to any info would be greatly appreciated

The first thing is, is to get a KZ750 repair manual on eBay. They are always available. Than send the Carburetors to someone who knows what they are doing with them. But you have other problems to deal with. such as the battery installation, the hard tail, front brakes, headlight and so on. Honestly, looking at the picture, I would salvage the engine and wheels, and junk the rest. You will find that bike very hard to ride and almost impossible to stop.

you can go to the top of this page and click "kz information"
then go to the filebase and look the bike up.
there are a lot of wiring diagrams there for you.
good luck!

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.
