i just saw this on craigslist and i knew you guys would love it
This is a rare Art Bose KZ Turbo Bike, yup a turbo. He built about 20 of these, each one a bit different, in the 1980's. She fires up easily, and given the degree of modification is a surprisingly easy bike to ride and enjoy. That being said, this is as custom as they come. When the boost kicks in you'll know that you are alive...

The Z1R is a beautiful bike from the factory, but this is eye candy for sure.

sorry guy's i know a bit about kawi's but who or what is an art bose sounds like an old stereo i had in the 80's. never heard of the guy myself.

Looks like a stock late 1978 or earler 1979 Z1R to me.....but I don't know much...

The only cheesy thing about that bike is the seat. I think that bike looks as cool as I have ever seen.

he was the best!! I bought my first bike from Art in 1990. Still have it today!! My friend still has a 1982 kz1300 turbo bike that is a blast

That was not a factory bike. All custom built. The would run 8-20psi of boost. Depending on the set up.
