This is a rare Art Bose KZ Turbo Bike, yup a turbo. He built about 20 of these, each one a bit different, in the 1980's. She fires up easily, and given the degree of modification is a surprisingly easy bike to ride and enjoy. That being said, this is as custom as they come. The Z1R is a beautiful bike from the factory, but this is eye candy for sure.

sorry guy's i know a bit about kawi's but who or what is an art bose sounds like an old stereo i had in the 80's. never heard of the guy myself.

i was never a big fan of the cheesey looking factory turbo bikes

The only cheesy thing about that bike is the seat. I think that bike looks as cool as I have ever seen.

he was the best!! I bought my first bike from Art in 1990. Still have it today!! My friend still has a 1982 kz1300 turbo bike that is a blast

That was not a factory bike. All custom built. The would run 8-20psi of boost. Depending on the set up.
